YELLOW PRICKLY PEAR & CHOLLA MANDALAS

I took the first background and superimposed the mandala you see here. I then shrunk it down to create the second version. Again, I offer this by way of demonstrating the wide range of possibilites this approach to digital art gives us.

YELLOW PRICKLY PEAR BACKGROUNDS

I took a yellow prickly pear flower and cut out the rectangular section outlined in blue. I then made it into the first background you see above. From there, I formed the other patterns to demonstrate the versatility this technique offers.

PINCUSHION CACTUS FLOWER MANDALA 1

I darkened the thorn pattern to make it work as a backgorund and pasted this pincushion cactus mandala on top.

PINCUSHION CACTUS FLOWER BACKGROUND

I took the photo of a pincushion cactus and cutout the little square outlined in blue. I then duplicated, rotated, and repeated until I came up with the pattern you see here.

Isn't that amazing? It is very simple to do, however.
