I have long been interested in East meets West and science meets religion. It is intriguing the way what physicists are saying about microscopic and macroscopic reality, mirrors what mysitcs, especially Eastern mystics tell us about the nature of the world we live in. The biggest piece the scientists leave out is that this world we live in is a manifestation of Mind. I didn't intend to add the text when I started this piece, but as I worked with the thin filaments of light against the black, I was struck by how the design mirrors our cosmic reality. I am not altoghether satisfied with the design and am sure I will be able to do better versions in the future.

I offer another flower mandala made with pink daisies. I used the magic of Photoshop to create some lavender versions of the same blooms in order to add interest. These are actually photos at different angles of a single flower.
I am working on making this into a second tutorial. It will be a separate blog showing how to create the flowers mandalas.
Best at poster size, but I have a version made for cards.

This mandala is made with bouganvillia flowers which are iconic to the Southwest.
